In Map the System 2023, 63 international educational institutions and 3000 students participated from across 27 countries.
Map the System 2023 Global Final
The 2023 Global Final was a week-long dedicated learning programme and competition for the top 17 shortlisted teams. The Skoll Centre hosted a group of over 60 students and 20 educators for this unique and immersive learning experience in Oxford.
1st Place
First place winners of the Map the System Global Final 2023 were 'Bebas' from Wesleyan University. Their project explored the systemic problem of child marriage in Indonesia.
Second place was awarded to Team Phoenix from the American University of Beirut whose project explored the impacts and root causes of the rights of migrant workers in Lebanon. Find out more about their project.

Joint third place was awarded to Team Capybara from Vanderbilt University. Their project highlighted educational support available for children living with chronic diseases in Nashville, Tennessee. Find out more about their project.

National Taiwan University also placed in joint third place. Their project 'Optimal Ageing' focused on creating an age-friendly environment in Taiwan. Find out more about their project.
